In addition to these, which I personally visited and photographed, there are many more interesting events that you can find on the official pages of the events calendar of the Tourist Board of Istria County and the events calendar of the Tourist Board of the City of Pula . For some events, I am not yet sure when they will take place, so the dates will be entered later, but I definitely recommend that you follow the official pages of those events, as changes are also possible. 1. Medieval festival in Svetvinčent
The medieval festival in Svetvinčent will be held for the 11th time this year. maintain the road in the small town of Svetvinčenat. The festival will take place from 4. until August 7. It is held in several locations, and the most interesting events will be held in Žlinja, which is located behind the Morosini-Grimani castle . There will be falcons and owls, jousting tournaments, fights, knights and maidens. It is definitely worth including it in the top 5 events in Istria and adding it to your calendar of events you intend to visit.
2. Festival of dance and non-verbal theater
Before the Medieval Festival, the International Festival of Dance and Non-Verbal Theater will be held in Svetvinčent, organized by the Zagreb Dance Ensemble under the direction of Petra Glad Mažar . 3. Days of Antiquity and Spectacvla Antiqva
As in the times of ancient Rome, gladiator fights are held in the Pula amphitheater. Although it is not like back then to blood and death, and the gladiators are not slaves, these fights are very realistic. These fights are held as part of the Days of Antiquity organized by the Tourist Board of the City of Pula , the Archaeological Museum of Istria and the Spectacula Gladiatoria Association . 4. Legendfest
LegendFest – a festival of legends, myths and stories – is held in Pićno, a town located in central Istria. The festival is in 2015. started by Ivor Zidarić, president of the Val kulture association. LegendFest is accompanied by numerous events for children and adults, such as workshops, souvenir sales, performances for children, etc.
